These terms explain how you may use HopNaija. They describe the product as it works today. They are not legal advice. If you do not agree, do not use HopNaija.
1. What HopNaija is
HopNaija is a Nigerian transportation discovery and direct-connection platform. Passengers can browse independent local operators and contact them directly.
HopNaija does not dispatch trips, match you with a driver, book a ride, set a fare, or take payment. Any service, price, pickup, or other arrangement is between you and the operator.
2. Your account
You may browse public listings as a guest. Creating an account lets you save favorites and apply to become an operator. One person uses one HopNaija account.
You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping access to your email or phone secure. You may close your account from Account Settings in the app.
3. Operators
A signed-in passenger may apply to become an operator. HopNaija reviews applications. You are not listed as an operator until we approve the application.
Approved operators may switch between passenger and operator mode in the same account. HopNaija may suspend an operator listing if we receive reports or find that the listing is unsafe or misleading.
Operators are independent. HopNaija does not employ them and does not control how they provide transport.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use HopNaija to:
- post false operator or account information
- harass, threaten, or scam other people
- try to access another person’s account or data
- interfere with the app, our systems, or other users
You can report an operator from the app. Reports help us review listings. They do not make HopNaija responsible for a trip you arranged yourself.
5. No transport contract with HopNaija
When you call an operator, you are dealing with that operator. HopNaija is not a party to that arrangement and does not guarantee that an operator will be available, on time, or provide a particular service.
6. Availability
HopNaija may launch with few or no operators in an area. We may add or remove cities and service areas. We may change or suspend the app for maintenance or safety.
7. Liability
To the extent allowed by law, HopNaija is not liable for loss arising from a trip, payment, or other arrangement between a passenger and an operator, or from an operator being unavailable or inaccurate in their listing.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as HopNaija changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
